An Autumn Day at the Old School House. Our first cold autumn painting Day! The green colours were brilliant. I was at Deas Island Provincial Park in Ladner, BC.

Heritage

The park derives its name from John Sullivan Deas, a free Black tinsmith, who established a salmon cannery on the site in 1873. Deas Island Regional Park is home to three local heritage buildings: Inverholme Schoolhouse, Delta Agricultural Hall and Burrvilla.
