The inspiration for my Clara Series was from a small black and white photo taken in 1936.  In the summer of 1936, 17 year old, Clara had a job at a resort in Bermuda. She met and fell in love with her future husband that summer.

From my Clara series I was inspired to create my Painting Postcards. These are small mixed media paintings made up of a collage of acrylic skins. They are all about communicating the old fashion way with a letter or a postcard. There is a blank postcard on the back of the painting for you to write your message to someone special!
