I completed a series of three paintings.  I started with the Big Idea, moved over to The Main Idea and ended with The Detail.  The first painting is a visual presentation of looking at something to get an overview that can enhance and inform the viewer.   The second painting, The Main Idea, is looking closer to see patterns, colours, textures and marks that make up parts of the Big Idea.  Lastly, The Detail, simplifies a pattern, a colour, a texture down to its essence.  For the observer the experience of viewing all three paintings together takes one from  a big event synthesized down to a beginning.  A time to reflect and create and enjoy!
